Central Washington falls 8-4 to Montana State Billings; Kellen Berg pitches in loss

Central Washington University’s baseball team, featuring former Kamiakin High School standout Kellen Berg, was defeated 8-4 by Montana State Billings in Saturday’s NCAA Division II game held at 2 p.m.

The contest, played at CWU Baseball Field, marked the teams’ fourth meeting of the season. Earlier on Feb. 28, the Wildcats earned a 6-5 victory over the Yellowjackets.

Berg contributed 1.2 innings on the mound and notched one strikeout.

Central Washington is set to play its next game at WOU Baseball Field against the Western Oregon Wolves on Saturday, March 7, at 12 p.m.
