Washington State University Tri-Cities is offering a free virtual Jump Start program to help students prepare for the fall semester that includes pre-recorded and live training sessions, a news release from the university stated.

The purpose of the program is to prepare students for virtual academic learning. The jump start program has how-tos on Zoom, Blackboard and ALEKS — a mathematics-based platform, the news release reported.

“With many schools going online for fall, we wanted to provide students with resources to refresh their skills in academic reading, writing, math, as well as provide several success tips and trainings that will get them ready to start the fall semester virtually,” Anna Plemons, WSU Tri-Cities assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs, said in the news release. “Many students switched quickly last spring to virtual instruction, both current college students and high school juniors and seniors. We wanted to provide a community resource that students can use, regardless of campus or location.”
