City of Connell issued the following announcement on Mar. 1.
The recycling program within the city will be discontinued as of March 14, 2022. The City would have to pass increasing garbage costs on to rate payers at $1.75 per month if the recycling bins were kept. City officials apologize for any inconvenience that the change may pose but determined that this cost-cutting measure was preferred over increasing garbage bills by another 8%.
