2021 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS AND ASSOCIATED REZONES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Benton City City Council has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 7:00 pm, at 1009 Dale Ave., Ste A. This meeting will accommodate virtual and in-person attendance. Please go to the City’s website and access the meeting agenda to obtain information on how to participate in the public hearing via the online format, and for instructions on how to make a public comment remotely (www.ci.benton-city.wa.us). During the meeting, the City Council will conduct a legislative public hearing to gather public input and to review the proposed 2021 Comprehensive Plan amendment docket and associated area-wide rezone. The docket is comprised of 4 map amendments and one text amendment. All interested parties are invited to participate in the hearing; comments may be made verbally or in writing.
If, for any reason, the hearing cannot be commenced or completed on the date specified, the hearing may be continued to a date certain, place and time without further notice.

You may provide written comments on the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments and area-wide rezones. Send written comments to the City Clerk, P.O. Box 70, Benton City, WA 99320. Written comments must be received by 5:00 pm, May 9, 2022 in order to be included in the staff report to the City Council for their public hearing. Comments received later can still be included in future meeting reports or provided at the public hearing.
Any information submitted to Benton City is subject to the public records disclosure law for the State of Washington and all other applicable laws that may require release of documents to the public.
