Richland, Wash. – Crews completed reconstruction of the Swift Blvd./Cemetery access railroad crossing and reopened the roadway late Sunday afternoon.
The work began at noon on Thursday, September 29, and crews worked continuously until the construction was finished. The project encompassed replacing the entire rail crossing, adding concrete panels, new rail ties and repaving.
Crews finished the Van Giesen/State Route 224 rail crossing replacement project in August, and the port plans to replace the State Route 240 crossing in 2023.
