Due to the upcoming freezing weather in the forecast, yard waste will not be collected from the green cans; bagged debris will continue to be picked up on your regular trash day, through December
Solid waste crews attempted to empty yard waste bins this week but freezing temperatures resulted in about 50 lids breaking and 50% of the debris could not be completely removed. Green can collection will continue when temperatures warm.
Remember, Richland residents can bring yard waste to the Horn Rapids Landfill for free (with ID and copy of Utility bill). The landfill is open Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except on observed holidays. Thank you for your continued patience.
