In the week ending Jan. 31, one gas station in Franklin County sold midgrade gas at the lowest reported price of $3.50 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Reported prices for midgrade gas in Franklin County averaged $3.72 per gallon.

Among 44 gas stations in cities within Franklin County, 10 offered midgrade gas.

The average reported price for a gallon of midgrade gas in Washington was $4.02, up from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
