Former Hanford High School standout Luke Stutesman took the mound on Sunday, March 15, at 11 a.m. as his current team, the Whitworth Pirates, earned a 4-3 victory over the Lewis & Clark Pioneers in NCAA Division III baseball play.

Paul Merkel Field served as the venue for this game, which marked the third meeting between the teams this season. In the previous contest on Saturday, March 14, the Pirates came out on top with a 17-3 win.

Stutesman pitched a single inning and tallied a strikeout.

The Pirates are set to play their next game at Curtis and Margaret Morse Athletic Fields on Saturday, March 21, at 12 p.m., taking on the George Fox Bruins.
